Time is running out. Don't let your child miss the best environmental
experience of thier young lives!!!!

Sunship Earth Environmental Adventure Camp for Young People

Sunship Earth is an exciting, environmental adventure experience for young
people ages 10-12. It is a weeklong sleepover camp run this summer by the
Halifax Regional Adventure Earth Centre on a beautiful lake in the Windsor
area. It is outdoor adventure and fun, with a focused purpose - to help
young people develop a strong positive relationship to the natural world and
understand the basic ecological operating principles of the planet. Their
waking hours are spent engaged in a non-stop series of outdoor activities -
from stalking mice as a coyote to sneaking into a giant leaf as a spy to
learn the secret of photosynthesis. The final stage challenges them to
examine the environmental impact of their own habits, and make a commitment
to change something to help the earth. There are also traditional fun camp
activities like swimming, canoeing, and campfires every day. Sunship Earth
runs July 21-26, and July 28-August 2, 2002. Want to know more? Check out
the web site at www.earthed.ns.ca or call Hugh MacDonald at the Halifax
Regional Adventure Earth Centre, 490-4539.
