Public Open Houses for McNabs and Lawlor Islands Provincial Park

As part of the public review process for the Draft Management Plan for
McNabs and Lawlor Islands Park, open
houses are planned for Halifax, Dartmouth and Eastern Passage in October.
These sessions will allow people to discuss
the plan with department staff and members of the advisory committee.
Information on the open houses can be found at
www.gov.ns.ca/natr/parks/mcnabs or by calling the Department of Natural
Resources, at 902-662-3030.

The schedule for the open houses is as follows: All sessions will run from
2:00 pm until 8:30 pm each day

McNabs and Lawlor Islands Provincial Park

Join the Friends of McNabs Island Society for the annual Fall Foliage Tours
of McNabs Island Provincial Park. See the island in its autumn splendour and
participate in guided history and nature tours. Tour includes a tour of the
historic island homes. Wear comfortable shoes, and bring a lunch and
drinking water.
Meet at Murphy's on the Water, Cable Wharf  in Halifax. Groups of more than
ten persons must pre-register. Space on the boat is limited to 147 persons
and available on a First Come, First Served basis. For more information,

Cost:  $ 6.50 members and children, $ 8.50 non-members
