Awakening Our Sense of Water: recovering Halifax’s heritage stream

Join the Ecology Action Centre for an informative walk along the path of
one of Halifax’s vanished streams. The purpose is to brainstorm for ideas
about marking and recovering Freshwater Brook. The walk will take place
on Sunday December 1 at 2:00 p.m., rain or shine, and will begin on the
North Common at the corner of Robie and Cunard Streets. The walk will
finish at the bottom of Inglis Street at Barrington, so we could stop in
at Tim Horton’s for HOT CHOCOLATE! There will be a meeting to discuss
the ideas on Wednesday December 4 at 5:30 p.m. at the Ecology Action
Centre, located at 1568 Argyle Street. For more information about the
walk or the meeting, call 429-2202.
