There’ll be some great entertainment by ensemble artists, and tons of great
stuff will be auctioned (live & silent) throughout the evening - art, services
and other goodies.

A bit of background…
The Irondale Ensemble Project is a theatre company in its thirteenth season in
Nova Scotia. Since starting in 1990, the artists in the ensemble have proudly
carried out the company’s mission. They have spent their artistic energy
looking at, exploring, exploding and trying new ways of making and using
theatre. Working with every different group you can think of – youth, seniors,
judges & lawyers, fishers, doctors, government departments, therapists, clergy,
union workers, new Canadians, actors – everybody.

Currently, the ensemble is busy with a number of projects, including:
a work on a province wide “Don’t Start” project with The Lung Association of
Nova Scotia, workshops with physicians through Cancer Care NS, our long time
project of an Open Workshop on Thursday nights and an ongoing long term
residency in the St. Pat’s Alex school community. The office and studio
theatre are located in this inner city school. Company members continue to
work in partnership with the community, developing and implementing programs
that support artistic and economic development in the area. Over the lifespan
of the company, members have created more than 20 original theatre and dance
works, most recently having staged a new version of The Good Society in
Tatamagouche as a benefit for community initiatives there on March 29th.

To keep doing this work, and to continue to find ways of engaging Nova Scotians
as audiences and participants, we need help.

So come out on May 2nd, support a good cause and have some fun at the same
time.

Call 429-1370 or email aritchie@chebucto.ns.ca for information or to reserve
tickets. www.irondale.ca
