Use your "Format" pull-down menu to switch to plain text format. ____________________________________________________________________________ Job Description for TRAX Coordinator The Ecology Action Centre is seeking a Project Coordinator for the TRAX project, which works to promote alternatives to single occupancy vehicle driving in the Halifax Regional Municipality. The Coordinator will be responsible for implementing trip reduction programs with workplaces, public education and lobbying, all aspects of project management (including report writing and financial management) as well as general EAC work that may arise. In addition, the Coordinator will be responsible for raising funds for the period of April 1, 2004 onward. Position will be full time (37.5 hours per week) at $17.27 per hour. Skills required: - Strong interest in promoting sustainable transportation, including transit, cycling, walking and carpooling - Experience in project financial management and accounting (tracking expenses, preparing financial reports, submitting invoices to funding agencies, monitoring EAC statements etc.) and an eye for detail - Very strong administrative and organizational skills - Experience writing project proposals and fundraising - Strong public speaking as well as written communication skills - Experience in public education and advocacy - Ability to manage multiple tasks well as get along well with others - Persistent, optimistic approach, with ability to find new ways to solve problems - Computer literacy in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Access familiarity with e-mail and Internet Please apply by submitting cover letter, resume and names of two references no later than Friday July 18 at 4 pm to: Attention: Alexandra Fischer, TRAX Project Ecology Action Centre 1568 Argyle St. Suite 31, Halifax, NS B3J 2B3 trax@ecologyaction.ca Fax: 902-422-6410 We regret we will only be able to contact shortlisted applicants.
