Enthusiastic Volunteers Needed!

The Ecology Action Centre and Environment Canada will be running a LET'S
DRIVE GREEN Vehicle Emissions Testing Clinic at the Kent Building Supplies
parking lot at Bayers Lake on September 9th , 10th and 11th, 2003. The
free clinic will promote public awareness of the negative environmental and
health effects of vehicle emissions and provide information on how motorists
can reduce emissions.

Although trained staff carry out much of the testing, volunteers are needed
to assist with other tasks. Volunteers need only interest and enthusiasm,
not any in-depth knowledge of the workings of motor vehicle engines and air
pollution control equipment. We welcome assistance from those sixteen years
of age and up for 4 or 8 hour shifts between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. All
volunteers will receive a T-shirt which they wear during the clinic.
Refreshments and light meals are provided.

Those interested in participating may contact Kate Thompson by

email at katethompson@hfx.eastkink.ca or

phone at (902) 861-3953 (please leave a message).
