Five things, but #1 and #2 are immediate attention:

1. You've got another chance to see "The Corporation" this Wednesday
night at 7:00 PM at the Art Gallery! Please distribute this message to
your colleagues/friends/students:

"The Corporation"
Screening on December 10th, 7pm
Art Gallery of Nova Scotia (AGNS)
1723 Hollis Street
Cost: Pay by donation/open to the public
Director Mark Achbar will be in attendance
More Info please call the AGNS: 902-424-7542

This is the documentary that is based on Joel Bakan's book "The
Corporation: The Pathological Pursuit of Profit and Power" and that
played at the Atlantic Film Festival (More about the film and book:
www.thecorporation.tv). The documentary won the People's Choice Awards
in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver, and the NFB Best Canadian Documentary
Award recently in Calgary. Sorry for the short notice, but the director
just told us about this screening. This is a really great eye-opening
film and you will be so glad that you went to see it!

2. The Premier has been bombarded with your calls (keep em' coming -
424-6600), isolated by his fellow Premiers, surrounded with evidence,
castigated by the cartoons, maybe now he needs to hear it in music.
PLEASE COME OUT TO JOIN THE SEISMIC SINGERS TOMORROW (Wednesday)
Speaker's Holiday Reception 2 - 4 P.M. Province House, Hollis Street -
across from the Art Gallery. Musicians NEEEDDDEEDDD! Bring your drums
and whistles and guitars. And, of course, your seismic singing voice -
the more tone-deaf you are, the better!
We are going to stop oil and gas in the Gulf.

4. NGO Holiday Party!
This is just a quick reminder that the Annual Halifax NGO Holiday Party
will be Thursday, December 11 from 3-6pm. It will be held at the Canada
World Youth Office, 1657 Barrington Street, suite 126 (The Roy
Building). Don't miss the chance to wish friends and colleagues all the
best for the holiday season! Enjoy food and drinks and the pleasure of
each other's company! Everyone is welcome to join the fun! If you need
any more information, please feel free to contact Jackie at 422-2933 or
atlantic@cciorg.ca.

5. Don't forget to keep your toilet paper rolls and Christmas wrapping
rolls to build missiles for the Halifax Peace Coalition missile launch
on January 17, 2004. BUILD YOUR OWN ANTI BALLISTIC MISSILE - It will
work as well to defend Canada as the US National Missile Defense at a
fraction of the cost! Materials - The cardboard core from a roll of
paper towels. A cone of paper (aluminum foil, optional), tape to fasten.
Decorate on the outside with felt pens or decals. Insert a message or
anti NMD flier in the center. VOILA! Be the first one on your block with
an Anti- Ballistic Missile! Build as many as you can. Start an "arms
race" on your campus, in your neighbourhood, community, province, all
around Canada.

Many cities across Canada will be participating and will hold a
stockpile gathering together on January 17, 2004 to organize
interception and launching exercises. We'll invite the media for that
event. Each missile will be sent individually in an envelope to the
Prime Minister in Ottawa briefly after January 17 (No postage
required.). THE WORLD WILL BE A SAFER PLACE IF WE USE CARDBOARD MISSILES
INSTEAD OF NUCLEAR ONES!

Thanks and Happy Holidays!

Tamara
