As a frequent cyclist and pedestrian, I would like to offer several insights
from life as a road warrior on Kings Road in Sydney.

For pedestrians, the most important problem of using Kings Road is that
sidewalks do not extend all the way from Sydney River to downtown.
Fortunately, this will be corrected with the expansion of Kings Road because
complete sidewalks will be built on both sides.

Recently in the media, cycling on Kings Road has been portrayed as extremely
dangerous. The representation appears suspect and the motive appears to be
to obtain support for a three meter wide bicycle lane to be included with
the Kings Road expansion.
