**********************
If you haven't been to the dinner and auction before, this is the year to
attend. The dinner is always exceptionally good at RA Park and the
atmosphere of this historic officer's mess is superb. Even Peter McNab
himself must have dinned there in the early 1800s. This year Dave Johnson
will be providing acoustic guitar entertainment during the event.

We are looking for auction items. Gift certificates for restaurants, hotels,
harbour tours, health spas and retail outlets always sell well, as do
prints, books, pottery, crystal and tickets for various events. Since we
charge only $30 for the dinner tickets, we just break even on the dinner.
Our major fundraising is through the silent auction sales. If you have
anything to donate, please call Victor Dingle at 463-4761.

This year our silent auction proceeds will help fund the restoration of
McNabs Island that was devastated by Hurricane Juan. We also hope to use
funds from the auction to update and publish a second edition of our popular
book, "Discover McNabs Island".

If you have any questions, please call or e-mail.
