International Walk to School Week is a component of Active & Safe Routes to
School, which encourages the use of active modes of transportation to and
from school, such as walking or cycling. It is a national Go for Green
program coordinated in Nova Scotia by the Ecology Action Centre in
partnership with the Nova Scotia Office of Health Promotion, Sport and
Recreation Division.
