Hello Sust-Mar Friends!

Five peace-related things to bring to your attention:

1. If you live in Halifax and would like to join our bulk order of these
videos "What I've Learned About US Foreign Policy" and "Arlington West" by
this Friday, Feb. 4. Very cheap rates, practically the same price as a blank
videotape. The cost is approx. $5 US per video (=$7 CAD).

Details about the films here:
http://www.addictedtowar.com/
In my opinion, "What I've learned about US Foreign Policy" is one of the
best films documenting the history of the US's brutal foreign policy. A
must-see film in my opinion and a great resource to show friends and family
(re-editted as of 2004). "Arlington West" is a new film (2004) that I
haven't seen yet, but it is about US addiction to war (including interviews
with US soldiers and marines in Iraq) done by the US Veterans for Peace (see
web site for more details).

*If you would like a copy of one of these videos, please let me know ASAP
(by this Friday) at tlorincz@dal.ca or 443-2423. Also, let me know if you'd
like VHS or DVD.

2. Please mark your calendar for Saturday, March 19 for the big
international day of action "End the Illegal War and Occupation of Iraq"
(the World Still Says No to War). Check the Halifax Peace Coalition for
details as they are finalized: http://hfxpeace.chebucto.org/

3. Another HPC Event on Wednesday March 2, 7:30
Hans Von Sponeck, a former UN Assistant Secretary General, headed the UN
"oil-for-food" program until he resigned in February 2000 in protest over
the continued sanctions on Iraq. Public talk at the Weldon Law Building,
