Bilingual Environmental Educator (1 vacancy)

Temporary, Full Time
Anticipated Start Date: May 24, 2005

Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia

Education: University or college degree in Education, Recreation, Biology,
Environmental Science, French or other related field

Experience: 1-2 years

Salary: $413.00 Weekly for 40 hours per week

Languages: Must speak, read and write English and French.

Work Setting Experience: Non-governmental organization

Generic Skills: Leadership skills, computer use, writing and public speaking
skills

Other Information: Knowledge of Atlantic Provinces ecological processes and
issues an asset, must work well and preferably have had experience with
children/youth, energetic, flexible, and must be able to work unsupervised
at times.  Must be able to travel.  Access to a vehicle an asset. Employment
is for 26 weeks.

***Applicants must be in receipt of EI/ or have received EI in the last 3
years (or 5 years for maternity/parental benefits & reentering labour force)
& meet local office criteria.  Salary id non insurable.

Duties: Successful candidate will be responsible for the development and
delivery of elementary and high school environmental education programs to
schools within the Maritimes in the French and English languages. (A more
