Description:
The TRAX Project of the Ecology Action Centre is hiring
an organized and outgoing individual to coordinate the
Canadian Commuter Challenge (June 5-11) for Nova
Scotia. The Coordinator will work with workplaces,
schools and individuals encouraging individuals to use
sustainable transportation and register on a national
website. As well, the Coordinator will organize a series
of events and draws.
Desired Skills:
- Interest in sustainable transportation
- Outgoing, positive, enthusiastic
- Ability to work independently
- Highly organized
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of climate change
- Actively engages in sustainable transportation
- Proficient in MS Word, internet/email applications
- 4 hours/day, Monday-Friday (Flexible)
- Must be in Halifax for contract duration
- Rate of Pay: $15.00/hr
