Shalom- I just finished going over your excellent publication that you
emailed me.  It is a substantial treatment of biomonitoring and should be
very useful to fellow aquatic biologists.  As much as I appreciate your
offer of co-authorship, I do not feel that I can take credit for something
that is your work.  I just turned down a similar offer of co-authorship
from Dr. David Strayer, who completed a study of the Hudson River, and
compare d his data with our previous data.  As I told him, it is
sufficient to cite our publications, but since this is your work, it is
your name who should be on it.  Please take this as nothing more than a
compliment for completing an immense task on your own, and not wishing to
detract from it in any way.  ........Bob Bode
