McNabs Summer Picnic Event

(Date: TBA)

We are still hopeful that we can organize a summer picnic. The biggest challenge is cost. Boat charters in the summer are expensive and we are looking at ways to keep the cost of transportation down so that a trip to McNabs is affordable. We also need a lot of volunteers to help organize such an event. If you can help, please contact Faye Power at 443-1749

McNabs and Lawlor Islands Paddle and Cleanup

Saturday, September 8 Time: 9:30 am (Rain date September 15)

Dusan Soudek has volunteered to coordinate this event for us. Join canoeists and kayakers in cleaning up the hard-to-reach beaches on the Eastern Passage side of McNabs and Lawlor Islands. This year we are also looking into the possibility of hiring a small boat to transport volunteers who don't have their own canoe or kayak. Contact Dusan at 422-1045 (evenings) or soudekd@ns.sympatico.ca for more information and to pre-register.
