Please note that donations are eligible for a receipt for Canadian income tax purposes; we normally issue these receipts near the end of February of the following year.

Membership is open to all who value the objects of the Association.

  The Association's annual membership fee is $30.00 payable by the 31st of December for the ensuing calendar year. New members joining before the 15th of November are enrolled for the current year and sent its back issues unless otherwise requested. Membership benefits include receipt of The Nova Scotia Genealogist; reduced rates for publishing queries and for admission to Association workshops; and the satisfaction of materially helping to realize the Association's objectives. It also includes automatic subscription (if desired) to the GANS members-only mailing list. The list is intended primarily to provide members with notifications of upcoming GANS events and projects.

  In order to maintain up-to-date records for our new and renewing members, please complete the following form. This information is for the GANS membership database; it is used for administering the Association's official business (contact information, membership dues, NSG mailings, etc.) and will not be sold, rented or otherwise provided to third parties.

  Upon submission you will be given an opportunity to review your submission and to pay your membership using a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or Amex) via PayPal; a PayPal account is not required.
