COLORS International is a youth led charity that strives to develop and assist overseas projects through the extension of effective, hands on initiatives helping children in need. Our international projects are based on educational activities & basic health projects with the goal of inspiring children and youth to make the world a better place, one step at a time.
COLORS was founded by Sunyata Choyce of Nova Scotia, Canada and Anke Bushing of Germany in 2004. These two young women started off as international volunteers working with AIDS Orphans in South Africa. Through their own initiative, a project plan was created to help the children of the orphanage. Through an amazing show of international support for their ideas and project plans, they created Project COLORS International. This gave them the resources they needed to assist the children through the collection of scholastic and basic medical supplies, care packages, a multi-activity room and day trips. After this successful project COLORS expanded its aid projects to include a Nova Scotia based international distribution program where supplies have been going to projects in need all over the world.
COLORS International founding director Sunyata Choyce was named the Red Cross Young Humanitarian for 2007.
