RPI is a rating that is derived from the team's winning percentage, their opponent's winning percentage and their opponent's opponent's winning percentage. The idea is that if you win against a great team, you benefit more than if you toast an 0-10 team. It's used quite heavily in the NCAA. I don't subtract the original team's records from the remainder, which is why the NCAA's numbers are much higher. Leaving it in, simply moves the numbers closer to .500
I call this a preliminary report. If there are discrepancies (and I know there are), point them out and hopefully next week's can be complete.
Sched is the schedule strength, or the winning percentage of the opposing teams.
Cheers, Mark mcheers@SOFTENG.Waterloo.ATTGIS.COMThis is the third CHEERS RPI report for CIAU Womens basketball. We are still missing a couple of pre-season score, so the rankings may adjust slightly. We will re-post the Womens CHEERS RPI as soon as corrected scores cause a recalculation
