There is very little consistency in Mr. Nickerson's statements about just exactly when the NSRFC is supposed to have stopped "geophysical survey activity". Some of these statements leave the timing vague, others are clearly at variance with the facts. His timing for this seems to range from 1989 to 1992.

As very specific examples of survey activity by NSRFC after 1989: --

In April 1991, on his return from Japan, McKay was himself asked to conduct geophysical well-logging surveys for aquifer assessment -- which he undertook in the Trenton and Pictou areas at that time.
.
The following April (1992), underground well-logging was undertaken in the Cape Breton coal mines by NSRFC.
