I am a professional modern dancer. Learn more about my projects and choreographies.
In 1997 I teamed up with with Kym Butler, Kathy Martin Parker and Pat Richards to create the ensemble OnAxis Dance. That fall we presented Dance By Numbers at the 1997 Atlantic Fringe Festival.
Another performance project was Francois Villon: Poet & Thief as part of the Dance Nova Scotia Works in Progress series.
In addition to my interests in modern dance, I am also an enthusiastic folk dancer. I danced for many years with Pomorze Polish Folkdance Ensemble. I have also often been a teacher at Halifax Dance.
In addition to my work as a dancer I also work professionally as a costume designer and an illustrator. I completed a degree in Fine Art at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design.
In collaboration with Christopher Majka I wrote, illustrated and published a book on Polish Folk Costumes published by Empty Mirrors Press.
Another publication of ours is our new book By The Bay a nature colouring book for children. It tells the history as well as the natural history of the upper part of the Bay of Fundy.
In the spring of 1999 I contributed the cover illustration for Sleeping With Geraniums by June Mitchell and Pat Richards.
Recently we have started to offer for sale an authentic Polish Lajkonik for Polish Folkloric Groups and Organizations. Please inquire for futher details.
