~ What is Love? ~

Love, as defined by the dictionary, is strong affection and warm attachment for something. From this definition, one may stop and ask, "Does this truly define love?" In my opinion, it doesn't define it at all. No one can truly define love without using actions, but in this essay I intend to define it as closely as possible.

So, what really is love? It's a feeling from the deepest reaches of the soul, and from the most vast expressions of the heart. It symbolizes unselfishness, willingness, devotion, and understanding.

It's trusting someone and questioning them before believing lies from others. It's the contentness of waking up every day, knowing that life is so wonderful because of that special someone. Love is the most thoughtful and most understanding feeling of all, because it involves an undying trust in someone. It's thinking about someone all day, not being able to get them off your mind, yet it is not an obsession. Love is what keeps two people so close, when they are yet so far away. I could write hundreds of "definitions" for love, but none would ever explain the reality of it and how it affects mankind.

Although I have not clearly defined love, I have arrived at a simple conclusion - It can neither be understood nor defined by mankind because of its deepness and purity. "True love is like ghosts, something everybody talks about but only few have seen or experience."
