Genealogy Programs

Most people suggest the program they are using. The following list was supplied by Jeff Bowden , of Merrimac, MA, who got over 60 responses to a request of which program is the best for a PC.

Of these responses, he boiled down the comments to Master Genealogist being the "most complete" & "professional" program of the lot; the overwhelming majority of users suggested Family Tree Maker, some saying this was the "middle" to "high end". And taking up the rear for best "low end" program was Brother's Keeper.

Sites where demos of the various programs can be found as shareware and you can look, play and make up your mind free.
