" Holiday Presents "

Today, I discussed four different albums and the possible merits of each as a present for somebody who likes musicals. The albums looked at were the MGM soundtrack of An American in Paris, the CD recording of a PBS special My Favorite Broadway: The Leading Ladies in Concert Live at Carnegie Hall, and the treasure of them all, the fantastically sweet and marvellous album Don't Ever Leave Me by the stupendous John O'Halloran.

Aaaaand I played these songs:

" Prologue " from An American in Paris, MGM movie soundtarack

" I'll Build A Stairway to Paradise " from An American in Paris, MGM movie soundtarack

" Tra-La-La " from An American in Paris, MGM movie soundtarack

" I Got Rhythm " from An American in Paris, MGM movie soundtarack

" Man of La Mancha " as performed on the My Favorite Broadway The Leading Ladies Live at Carnegie Hall

" Look For the Silver Lining/Tomorrow " as performed on the My Favorite Broadway The Leading Ladies Live at Carnegie Hall

" All The Things You Are " as performed on John O'Halloran's album Don't Ever Leave Me

" Turkey lurkey time " as performed on Christmas on Broadway

" We need a little Christmas " as performed on Christmas on Broadway

" To Be A Santa " as performed on the abysmal recording Christmas on Broadway
