" Non-demoninational Holiday Show II "

Yes, it's the second annual Over the Rainbow tribute to songs relating to the holiday season, in a non-denominational sort of way. There are zillions of great holiday songs out there, and you can only play them once a year, so I think I'm allowed this indulgence. My friend Marlene helped me pick the songs for this week, as well as co-hosting the show with me.

Songs played:

" Blue Christmas " performed by Elvis Presley

" Holiday romance " performed by the Johnny Favourite Swing Orchestra

" A fact can be a beautiful thing " from Promises, Promises, performed by Jerry Orbach and Marian Mercer

" Jingle bells " performed by maestro Woody, on his power tools

A holiday song of which I forget the name, performed by The Monkees

" Cool yule " performed by Louis Armstrong and his Orchestra

" You're a mean one, Mr Grinch " performed by Boris Karloff

" White Christmas " performed by Bing Crosby

" I believe in Santa Claus " performed by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton

" Angels we have heard on high " performed by Christina Aguilera

" A new deal for Christmas " performed by the original Broadway cast of Annie

" Hard candy Christmas " performed by the original Broadway cast of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas

" What will Santa Claus say when he finds everybody swinging? " performed by Louis Prima

" Jingle bells " performed by Glenn Miller and his Orchestra

" Christmas at Hogwarts " from the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone soundtrack

" The invisibility cloak and the library scene " from the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone soundtrack
