" Two Gentlemen of Verona "

I finally was able to talk about the amazing musical Two Gentlemen of Verona, but due to illness, I let the album do most of the talking this week. Anyway, Two Gents is a musical from 1971, adapted by John Guare and Mel Shapiro from the Shakespeare play with music by Galt Macdermot and lyrics by Guare.

I love this music to pieces. It's so great. I crammed in as much as I could in one hour and was able to play:

" Summer, summer " performed by the ensemble

" That's a very interesting question/ I'd like to be a rose " performed by Clifton Davis and Raul Julia

" I am not interested in love " performed by Diana Davila

" Love is that you? " performed by Frank O'Brien and Georgyn Geetlyn

" Two gentlemen of Verona " performed by Diana Davila, Alix Elias and the women's chorus

" Follow the rainbow " performed by Clifton Davis, Raul Julia, John Bottoms, Diana Davila and Alix Elias

" Where's north? " performed by the ensemble

" To whom it may concern me " performed by Jonelle Allen and Clifton Davis
