    The attempt here is to demonstrate what kinds of mark up an be used on a web page that will either be visible with Lynx, at least not conflict with Lynx, or be visible on another Commodore 64 compatible browser.
    The other audience here is those who are visually impaired. The auditory computer reading programmes need to be able to interpret what is placed here.
    Inexpensive or fast net access implies text mode. The question becomes how much information can be communicated using text only. Some of the markup examples shown here can be used to increase what is communicated while keeping the page visually interesting for those who are sighted. In other words, which markup provides approriate technology?
