Using primarily ESRI's ArcView and its extentions, created bathymetric and thematic tourism maps for general public use. Responsible for researching, designing, and creating projects, as well as maintaining the accuracy of the charts, and updating them as necessary. As needed, some field work performed using hand held GPS units. Responsible for printing and quality control, data maintenance and organization. Also, designing graphics for advertisers using CorelDRAW, Corel Photo-Paint, and Adobe Illustrator.

Jan-Feb 1999 Cartographer, Whale Creek Digital Mapping, Halifax, Nova Scotia
Short term contract: Performed reprographics duties that included photo negative retouching, data updating, data conversion, text placement, and accuracy checks. Project involved updating a series of 1:250000 sheets of NE Africa for the US government.

Short term contract: Responible for plotting customer AutoCAD plot files, and creating GIF and JPG files for customers through scanning.

Contract postion: Using Arc/INFO (v 7.1.4), and responible for digitizing agricultural areas at 1:250000, create and maintain associated database where necessary, as well as data correction, dat projection, and transformation. Performed plotting of the thematic sheets, photocopying, and data verification. Strong knowledge of AML and HTML programming.
