Initial Assembly of Stabilizer components.
The unpainted piece is a reinforcing plate/spacer to be mounted under the elevator stop. We made
the part larger than the simple packer called for by MAM to help distribute the load caused by the
elevator when it contacts the stop. The front two holes coincide with existing rivets for the
lateral stringer inside the stabilizer structure.
A fairing for the elevator trim servo rod was formed from utility grade aluminum sheet.
Stabilizer components cleco'd and ready for storage.
Stabilizer hung up in storage while awaiting inspection.
