Goldfinches, Pine Grosbeaks and Pine Siskin

We live with a rich assortment of birdlife attracted by the brook, the meadows and our feeder station, which is always busy!

Some Frequent Visitors

Our celebrity visitor this winter has been a rare Carolina Wren, only sighted three previous times in Nova Scotia. He has been a daily visitor at our feeder since late November.

The Blue Jays are always about.

As are gangs of cheerful sparrows.

And our favourite friendly chickadees!

We are often visited by a family of resident pheasants.

The view out the feeder window is often best on frosty days!

For more information on these birds, see
