Murdy Conlin has experimented with a variety of successful inventions over the years.

In the late 1960s, Murdy invented a system to deliver washer fluid to the blades of windshield wipers of the Canadian Forces patrol aircraft, the Canadair CP-107 Argus. This patented invention improved visibility, efficiency and safety of these long range patrol aircraft operating in the harsh visibility conditions of North Atlantic partols.
Solar Energy

In the 1970s, Murdy Conlin developed and built a domestic hot water solar system at Brook and Meadow farm. This image shows the first trial installation with a single collector mounted flat to the southern face of the house.
Subsequently a second collector was added and the array was angled. The system was also upgraded from a copper and aluminum piping system to sheets of black rubberized hose panels. The panels were covered translucent sheet fibreglass.
The system performed well for over a decade, providing over 60% of the hot water needs of a family of five and functioning well in a dramatic range of weather conditions!
