Hello Dear Family:
The date for our Reunion is getting closer and
closer! I just can't wait!
I have only a couple of things to discuss with
you. First, I do not know if there are more Baseball tickets available for
Friday July 16. As I told you, Don and Linda had four extra tickets, and I
think it has to be first come first serve, and the four tickets will have to be
purchased once you arrive to St. Louis. Unless we can buy some more, which
I seriously doubt. After all, we waited almost a month to receive your
requests and only 6 of us ordered tickets for ourselves and our families.
That is why I tell you and seriously recommend you do not leave for tomorrow
what you can do today!
Now, I need all of your responses to the following
important matters:
- 1.- T-shirts - Cristina, Linda and
ourselves, have been thinking for a long time on having T-shirts done as a
keepsake from our Reunion. I love the idea, but the sizes is what I am
concerned with. Linda has a friend in St. Louis who can make them for
$7.00 if we have 60 or more T-shirts done. I think that the price is very
good and we could have them made and have them ready when we arrive at the
Reunion. If you agree to have them made, we would need for you to tell us
how many you would like and the sizes. If you do not order within a month,
then you will not have a shirt.
- 2.- We also though of a key ring, which would
also make a nice keepsake for everyone. I still do not have the price for
those, but as soon as I have something I will pass it on. If anyone knows
somebody that can make them for us at a cheap cost, and have seen a sample of
the work they do, please let us know so we can choose the one that is more
convenient. The more we have to choose on, the better.
- 3.- Tours - We have contacted Discover St.
Louis Tours and they offer 4 and 6 hour tours for $15.00 to $18.00 per person
based on 30 people on a bus plus any admissions involved. The tours
include a visit to historic St. Louis, the new Cathedral which interior contains
one of the largest and most beautiful displays of mosaic art in the Western
Hemisphere, a stop at the magnificent Gateway Arch, a stop at the St. Louis
Union Station, the Bush Brewery, etc. They can custom plan a tour to meet
both our interests and budget, so what I need you to tell me is if you want a 4
hour or 6 hour tour. We would take the tour on Friday morning after
breakfast and have enough time to go to the Baseball game at night. Those who
know St. Louis, please make suggestions on what places are a must to
visit.
Remember that we have planned to have Saturday free for
everyone to do whatever they wish or return to some of the places visited during
the tour, do some shopping, or just relax and enjoy visiting with family
members. We will have our Farewell Banquet that evening.
Nobody has made any comment regarding the exchange of
gifts I mentioned in my last e-mail. Do you agree on the idea or would
like to do something else. Please let us know!
I think that is all the news and information for now. Please
write
soon and let me know what your desire is regarding the tours, and
keepsakes. The sooner we get this out of our minds the better, because
then we know we are accomplishing a lot and Our Reunion
will be a complete success!
Do not forget to send Leslie Foster your Biographies
