Dear Family:
This is Alberto, distracting your attention from your
numerous chores, just to, very briefly, ask yourself a few questions and try to
answer them......
As you already know, the time is getting closer and
closer for our first Family Reunion.
We are anticipating a complete success because you are
going to be there. Perhaps, if we plan to vote on it, we can decide to have
small reunions more frequently instead of waiting to have them every 90 years.
After all, we are a very impressive group of lads and have a lot of things in
common. Add to that our heritage, culture, background and enthusiasm, and we
have it all. We are in the USA, Canada, Mexico, and somebody new may surprise
this unique and beautiful group that is being formed.
Questions?
- Do you have Family Spirit?
- Do you really think that we will have all the time at
our reunion in order to find out about each other as much as we would
like?
- Could we recognize each other if we met in the lobby
at the Hotel in St. Louis?
- Are we attending because we want to learn more about
each other?
- Would it help if we all added just a little salt and
pepper to the salad?
If so, then help Zulema and myself as well as all of
you in just taking a few minutes and write as much as you would like about
yourselves. Are you a true Leslie? I hear that Irish and specially Scottish
descent persons are somewhat special, so I am going to test you. Listen and play
along and be counted.
Those of you that have answered to the petition of
inserting our Biographies in our Leslie Reunion Web page are already winners.
The ones that have sent their pictures and are also posted, are double winners.
This is regardless of whether you are attending or not. Those of you that still
have not done it because of....."I do not know what to
write"..."I do not have time"....."I will do it
tomorrow"....."I am waiting for my trees to flower so I can have my
picture taken and look beautiful".... "I am waiting to loose or gain a
few pounds so I do not look as young or old". All this is not
important.....what counts is that you do it and you do it know....not tomorrow
or never. Otherwise you are not going to be recognized at the banquet as a
Winner but as a "Wiener".....( a very cold Hot Dog ) OK..
So get to work right now!
I already told you how easy it is. Go to your nearest
Kinkos, or better yet send your pictures to us and we will put them up on the
web page for you. Not much time left. We have a contest to see who acts faster
and the winners will all receive a price for being punctual and cooperative. A
true trait of a Leslie member.
Zulema finally finished the draft of the Leslie Family
Tree. We still need some information, and she will later ask you to answer to
some missing dates and important events. Please share it right away so the Tree
can be completed and finalized.
Those that have not replied to the questions regarding
the Hotel Reservations, Tours, Tee Shirts,
Banquet etc. do it now because shortly you will be on
your own and there is nothing that we can do to help you for procrastinating. So
andale andale, arriba arriba.....let's have a lot of fun and let us learn from
you now and not tomorrow.
