Cron Tasks
Cron is a program/daemon that runs in UNIX and will schedule other
programs to run at specific times. For example, many of the activities on
CSuite are logged into files which can become very big. To ensure that the
size of these files are controlled they are rotated daily and eventually
deleted when they become too old. The rotating is done by cron, usually
overnight when the the demands on CSuite are reduced. This is very useful
for the administrator of CSuite because then they only have to worry about
one program running - cron!
