Subject: Letter to Members


To Members Chebucto Community Net,

Congratulations on our 15th anniversary - 1994 seems a long time ago but
we are still here and still providing a valuable service.

It is time once more for our Annual General Meeting which will be held on
Wednesday, April 29th at 7:00pm at Bloomfield Centre, 2786 Agricola St.

In addition to the business items there will be a presentation on the
"Imagine Bloomfield" project which is developing a neighbourhood plan for
community uses of the former Bloomfield School.  Chebucto is in
discussions with this group concerning a role our service may play in this
facility and in the neighbourhood.

There will also be an important presentation by Richard Connolly, CCN
Board member, concerning an innovative program which promotes our service
through corner stores.  Last but by no means least we will be reporting on
the planned use of our wireless service in Joseph Howe Manor on Victoria
Rd.

Those attending the AGM will have the responsibility of electing the Board
for the upcoming year.  The Nominating Committee is responsible for
finding candidates to replace 2 two year Board positions and 1 one year
position.  Members wishing to offer for these positions should send and
email to office@chebucto.ns.ca with a brief bio.  This should be received
in the office by April 20th.

Nominations may also be made from the floor as long as the person being
nominated has indicated in person or in writing that he/she is willing to
serve and a brief, written C.V. is available.

Chebucto is the only Internet service in our Province which must respond
to the wishes of its users/members.  The AGM is the opportunity for you to
make your wishes known.  The official notice of the annual meeting will be
sent at least three days prior to April 29th.
