Art Exhibit

Features 8 wall-mounted maps of the world, each produced by a G-7 nation and overlaid with a painted image of the publishing country's national flag. Through the manipulation of projection systems and framing devices, each country has imaged itself toward the centre of the world on their version of the global map. This show reveals how nations tend to centre themselves on the world maps they produce; by identifying this condition, the exhibition also illustrates graphically the biases inherent in a nation's "world view".
