Secondary Education Modernization Project
"August Institute"
Trinidad and Tobago
SERDA associates designed and delivered a three week summer institute for over three hundred beginning teachers to introduce the new core curriculum and new student-centered, activity-based pedagogy adopted by the Ministry of Education, Government of Trinidad and Tobago. This "August Institute", involving fifteen instructors, covered a variety of subject-specific and general pedagogy modules in an intensive three week (fifteen day) summer session.
