Comments: American Oyster Catchers are extremely interesting birds, and =
I am surprised that so little has been said about them on this list.
As for wind turbines - I believe that the best place for them is =
on the electric light line that runs through the woods from Barrington =
to the power house near Yarmouth. A place could be found I think on high =
land in the woods, far from the nearest house, but close to a woodsroad =
and a power line.=20
This has been suggested before, and I have never heard any criticisms of =
the location.

nest there. They are large. Not geese though. We have 'heard' that it is =
actually too windy on Cape Sable Island for wind turbines. There are =
wind turbines near by in West Pubnico. Lynne, Shelburne County.=20

FYI.=20
We were doing some city birding this evening (Wed.) and a stranger =
stopped us and asked if we knew large geese like birds from the Cape =
Sable Island area? He said he had just spent 10 days in the area and saw =
these large birds. Then he told us a company was looking at wind =
turbines in that area. Perhaps this is already well know, but just in =
case it is new news to some...
