Out of the ordinary sightings in my garden over the past week include
one monarch butterfly amongst my autumn asters - I used to have many
monarchs at this time of year, but this is the first in a few years. It
vanished after an 'army' of red admirals appeared to take over and have
monopolised the site ever since; would they keep the Monarch away? I
have also had one black and white warbler around for a day.
