Shorebirds roosting there today were 21 greater =20 yellowlegs and 1 lesser yellowlegs. The very high tide promises good tidal bores on Saturday, when =20 Sherman Williams will lead a field trip for the Blomidon Naturalists =20 Society -- all are welcome -- check the BNS events listed at =20 www.blomidonnaturalists.ca . On that field trip we should be able to =20= see the tidal bore in three different places in Hants County. Saturday, October 9, 2010 =96 Tidal Bore Watch =96 Sherman Williams =20 (542-5104, sherm@glinx.com) will lead a trip to see the tidal bore at =20= the Mantua Bridge and again at Scotch Village. This field trip will =20 be about 2.5 hr long. The tides are at high, so the tidal bore should =20= be very good. We will be leave the parking lot by the Wolfville =20 waterfront at 10:15 a.m. sharp (as the tide waits for no man!).
