Members and non-members are welcome at the following up-coming events organized by the Halifax Field Naturalists:

The Gully: Protecting and understanding one of Canada's marine biodiversity gems. Thurs Nov 4th - 7:30 PM in the auditorium of the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History. Contact 405-7446.
This presentation, by DFO staff, will provide an overview of The Gully, Atlantic Canada's first Marine Protected Area.

Herring Cove Area Wilderness Hike. Saturday, Nov. 6th, at 1pm. Meet at the Frog Pond parking lot off Purcell's Cove Rd. Contact: Burkhard Plache, 475-1129 or hfn.programme@gmail.com.
The Halifax Field Naturalists led by Burkhard will hike some of the rugged trails in the Purcell's Cove-Herring Cove area.
