Hi all
It was a fine day on Big I. yesterday after I arrived about 11:00. Highlights were 2 flocks of Snow Buntings totalling 80 birds
and several flocks of Bohemian Waxwings attracted to the bright Canada Holly berries.
A large alcid species flew by close to 3 flying Red-breasted Mergansers, but I did not see it well enough to give it a name.
More detailed results submitted to ebird Canada are below.
cheers
Ken

Location: Big Island
Observation date: 07/11/10
Notes: showers ended just before I reached the island and it was close to 20C. Peepers were calling in several locales and
there was the odd mosquito. I was joined by Steve and Amber Vines about 2 hours into the survey.
Tide was almost high on arrival and dropping but still faily high on departure.
