On Saturday, Nov 6, in the rain I was able to see the two Sandhill cranes that have been reported in Kings County NS. They were on the Wellington Dyke,(shows on Google map) on the east side of the paved road, second hay field past the orchard. Both were grazing on a hay field that has about eight inches of regrowth. This is not that far from Grand Pre where they had been seen previously, maybe the wind of Friday night forced them to this more sheltered yet still open site. George Forsyth
