The property owners have cleared use of their information in the RBA. They=
are Ann & Lloyd Young=2C of 1188 Victoria Rd. in Aylesford (just on the so=
uth side of the Annapolis River)=2C telephone 847-0682. Ann notes that it =
visits irregularly=2C but often early and again at lunch time=2C coming to =
feeders on the deck at the back of the house. Observers in a car may be ab=
le to use it as a blind and see the feeders from the driveway behind the ho=
use. It was seen at about 12:30 today.

Subject: [NatureNS] Yellow-throated Warbler in Aylesford
Date: Thu=2C 25 Nov 2010 13:11:56 -0400
Hello folks.
=20
One of these warblers has been frequenting a feeder in Aylesford since abou=
t 20 October=2C first reported by Ann Young. Unfortunately=2C I just learn=
ed of it=2C so this report is late=2C but with luck it will stay a while lo=
nger (or perhaps with better luck=2C head south). The feeders are not visi=
ble from the road=2C so I am awaiting permission from the property owner be=
fore posting a detailed location. =20
=20
Photos show it to be of the mid-western race Dendroica dominica albilora=
=2C and there seems to have been a larger movement than usual this fall of=
the species=2C and of this subspecies=2C mainly the 3rd week of October=2C=
from Manitoba to Newfoundland. Other than a couple of stray migrants earl=
ier=2C one in Maine and one at our Bon Portage I.=2C the first were one at =
St. John's (NL)=2C one in Maine=2C and one in SE Manitoba=2C all about 17-1=
8 October. There must have been some major weather disturbance in the Mid=
west about then=2C and over the next weeks single Yellow-throated Warblers =
were seen from southern Ontario=2C southern Qu=E9bec=2C and Nova Scotia (Ha=
lifax and Antigonish counties) as well as this one.
Cheers=2C
