Hi Joan=2C
You may well have had the Yellow-throated Warbler in that quick view. It's=
throat is very bright yellow and the black around its face is quite promin=
ent (although of course not as thick as a Common Yellowthroat's). Clarence=
Stevens Jr. confirmed it as being a female Yellow-throated Warbler (and un=
fortunately I forget which race he said it is). He also had the Northern =
Mockingbird and a Northern Cardinal at DeWolfe Park on Sundary. On Sunday=
when Clarence and I saw it=2C the warbler was with the chickadees by the s=
ewage treatment plant then flew high over the trees on Convoy Run then land=
ed behind 50 Waterfront Dr. (which is where I had gotten good looks and poo=
r quality photos for id on Sat). It was behind 50 Waterfront Dr in the eve=
rgreens along the railroad track that Clarence was able to have an extended=
opportunity for viewing this warbler.

I stopped by DeWolfe Park=2C Bedford
today. In the trees to left of the gates to the sewage treatment plant ther=
e
were bc chickadees and what looked like a common yellowthroat. I only had a
quick look before it disappeared. No sign of a yellow throated w.
