Index of Subjects Today, following several days of high winds I had a call from a lady who found a Dovekie on the side of the highway near Judique. She took it home in a cat travel cage. I encouraged her to get it back in the water ASAP. Following this, I checked the north side of the Canso Causeway and found over 50 Dovekie in the water and one on the shore. Also 1 Dovekie at the Port Hawkesbury Waterfront. I have seen two or three Dovekie on the Strait of Canso in past years but have never seen this many at one time. Seasons greetings!! David Johnston.
