Hello Wayne -
A number of years ago I reported a sighting like this one. I was =
deer hunting here in Barrington when I saw a large owl with a beautiful =
wing spread take off from a tree. All I knew at that time was that it =
was a larger owl than I had every seen, and that it had yellow eyes. =
The next day while sitting in a blind the bird flew by with a large =
entrail of what look like deer waste in its beak. Again there was the =
beautiful wing spread, the right colour of the bird and yellow eyes, =
and it struck me as rather unusual to find a bird like that hunting in =
the daytime. I studied pictures of the bird and am convinced about what =
I saw. Unfortunately I did not have a camera with me, and I don't =
believe in shooting animals just for the fun of it - and of course, I =
know it is illegal.
Roland. =20

Hello all,
=20
Enjoyed your hour of radio birding as usual. Did you or any of the =
listeners on this list catch the full name or location of the observer =
of what sounded like a good Great Grey Owl record? It would be useful =
to document this for its distributional value.
