Another birder, living near Amherst has reported some red crossbills at her 
feeders.  She prefers to report her sightings to the NB mailing list.

      New yard birds for me today; a male & (not sure if it was a female or 
a juvenile, because I could only see it's bill & abit of its head around the 
edge of the feeder) Red Crossbill at my sunflower seed feeder on this very 
damp, soppy, cold afternoon here in Dartmouth. Had a good look at their 
unique crossed bill tips. What a treat! Checked my Sibley's to be sure these 
were not White-winged Crossbills.
