I took my exchange student from South Korea and we got away later than =
hoped to the Eagle Watch. Went to the field at about 11 a.m. and there =
were about 60 eagles in the trees. No action so we went to the hall and =
came back at about 1 p.m. and were treated to quite a sight. I snapped =
pictures for 20 minutes straight. At one point there were over 80 eagles =
in the trees, in flight, and feeding. I got one really fabulous picture =
with a bald eagle in flight, an immature one directly behind and both =
have their wings in exactly the same position, even their talons are =
level with the each other. Below them is another immature eagle, wings =
in similar position. It has some food in its talons. It is just a really =
neat shot. If anyone would like to see it, email me and I will send it =
along. I took over 80 pics and only deleted 6. Wish I had Photoshop or =
something because many of them just need a tiny touch up. Has anyone =
used Picasa?

Considering I don't have a big expensive camera, just a Sony Cybershot =
with 10x zoom, I was amazed at the quality of what I got, especially =
with so much movement of the birds I was trying to capture.

I went last weekend and saw about 50 eagles but they stayed in the =
trees. This was so much better.

Also saw a flock of about 20 horned lark and last weekend coming back =
saw a flock of about a dozen snow bunting that have been hanging around =
2 of the Windsor off/ on ramps of Highway 101 for over a week. Managed =
to get pics of these as well though we did have to chase the snow =
bunting around a bit
