February 7, 2011 Regarding the recent question about possible Scaup at Dartmouth Cove....I was down there 2 days ago and there was a 50/50 mix of Scaup and Common Goldeneye Ducks. The hybrid Common x Barrows Goldeneyes were not evident though. Total number of ducks was in the range of 30 or so. There were also a couple of Red-breasted Mergansers as well. Paul Murray Dartmouth
