Dear All, Feb 26, 2011
The March issue of National Geographic has a gut-wrenching graphical
depiction of increase in human impact over the last 110 years (p.72; ).

The author calculated impact as a product of population, affluence and
technology (worldwide). On this basis, impact in 2011 is 134 times as great
as in 1950 and 1440 times as great as in 1900.

We have gone far in 110 years: in the wrong direction.

YT, DW
